Imagenetix, Inc., San Diego, CA, has signed a license agreement with the University of Minnesota for the exclusive rights to the University’s recently awarded patent covering a natural compound for lowering the body’s leptin levels, a circulating hormone that regulates fat storage. The compound, branded as Lepitrim, will be marketed by Imagenetix and its distribution partners across the U.S. and Canada. Product revenue to Imagenetix during the first 12 months is expected to be between $10-15 million.
